You are more valuable than you know and a Missionary in your own way. You may not know this but many have come to know Jesus seeing the Banner you so bravely wave, the melodies you orchestrate and the writings you so articulately write. Feeling so vague and upset which is never a good combination. Though my semi-depression doesn’t come from something as poetic as, I’m assuming, a lost love. God has plans for the both of us, and we need to trust him moment by moment to get us to them. I love how even a melancholy post like this can make me feel better.

what i got from it was when the old traces of a lost love show up, the first instinct of a heart broken person is to deny them in any way possible just for the sake of closure and moving on.

Wow… pretty much my thoughts the last couple of days… the snow has finally hit our little town, so I’m stuck indoors with my overactive heart and imagination…
No one can console you now. You know that. But you know the One who can. And you know you know the One, but it just beats down on you… and your soul is weather beaten and worn, holding that gorgeous globe of flaming feeling.
Just the other night, I was lying on my back, watching the tv without watching the show, and I was feeling the burn of my globe. I could see those eyes and the sighs, and I felt how alone I was. Then He took my globe and put into into a little glass bubble, so that the flame burned like a Perelandrian lantern.
I felt instant release. I couldn’t have let that globe diminish. It wouldn’t leave me anyway. Then I might grow cold and bitter. Instead, He took it. Its in His possession, that orb of beautiful light that makes my stomach float on air and sends waves of pleasure down my spine; the one that is steady too, like a heartbeat, unchanging.
He has it now, its in His office. And when I want to look at it, we look at it together. The time may come when He smashes the globe, and the “we” I so wish for will be swallowed up together, but if that never happens, the blue flame will not dim within that little glass bubble upstairs…
Don’t let it burn you, let it be the brightest and most beautiful thing. Live life now with the orange flame in your head and soul, and let the Eternal flame light up your heart forevermore.

I honestly cannot wait for your concert at the Beartooth, and I really hope I get to meet you (who I missed last time), Hannah, Daniel, and Casey, and that I see Breanne and Laura again. I met the two of them in Seattle just last year and Breanne and I were wearing EXACTLY THE SAME SHOES!! You guys are awesome! My brother (who loves to drum) would love to get yours, Daniel’s, and Casey’s autographs, and our band (Flora) would be truly ecstatic if we could open for you someday.

Either I’m dreaming up a crazy “power of suggestion” thing or I really can relate to you. All your beautiful songs like “Sunburn” and “Vanilla Twilight” hit me in the heart some days and I just feel like crying. It’s all about one person that I’ll never forget, but he’s moved on to a huge city and left me in the dust of the tiny old towns of the South. Yep, I want to forget it all, but it is very very hard. Why is it so hard to get back to the old state of happiness when all you really have to do is say “sorry” or simply forget?

If these are words of sadness, let me reassure you that things will happen and some may be good or bad. Like getting free ice cream for a whole day. But I wonder, is it the “love” that caused you to veer off your path, or the one you “loved” has left? Just know that life shares opportunities to be happy. Don’t let anything pull you down. That sounds like great lyrics. I can’t wait for the new album to come out. But if they aren’t lyrics, what’s the matter? It sounds like someone’s grabbed your interest and you don’t feel certain. If you have noticed someone, then if she doesn’t reciprocate she’s not worth it. You deserve to be loved by someone as amazing as you. Just know that you have a lot of people that care about you, although we may not know you personally. You are loved.
Whether these are lyrics or you’re going through something, I’m praying that God will lead you to peace and happiness. I’m not too good with words so that’s all I’ll venture out to say this evening.
I don’t really know if anyone else has posted this but it just seems like it means you’re tossing in bed, but if you turn you’re going to see your window, which at one point had “I love you” written on it (by hand, when it was foggy). It still fogs up, and you don’t want to see it.

We don`t know whom he talks about, we don`t know all the spectrum of his feelings (and we are not supposed to know it!!), but it is clear as day, that it comes from the heart, and that it hurts, and that it is difficult to overcome.
And all that bothers you: “Is that new lyrics?” or “Oh, I hope it gonna be a new song!”. Oh God!!!!!! IS IT ALL YOU ARE INTERESTED IN?? If you don`t have anything to say, just don`t write anything! Because he might read all that! And if he does, I wonder, how he is still being so sincere in his posts!!

Once I step out onto that small, fluffy carpet and glance at the misty mirror my solace shatters like dropped ice by the unrelenting persistence of that lipstick residue message smeared on the glass. I must have tried to clean it a thousand times. I didn’t smash the glass, I moved far away. Away from the mirror, the people who’s lives intersected with ours, the streets that we walked down…everything. Everything apart from my memories. Even though I don’t see it the majority of the time I drive, every once in awhile my window fogs up and the words reappear. Don’t know why I never have the courage to wipe it. A good memory I guess. I know EXACTLY how you feel. Or rather, I probably read my own situation into your words and it’s nothing at all what you had in mind when you wrote it. I suppose the more accurate thing to say is- your words describe EXACTLY how I’m feeling. I’m in a long distance relationship. To say long distance is difficult is a vast understatement; but God is in this, and knowing that makes it worth it. At night I “toss”, in good memories, and “try not to turn” my mind to things I shouldn’t be thinking in the first place, which can be rather difficult. “The I love you still fogs up” illustrates the distance between us, why things can’t be crystal clear, and I definitely want to smash that glass.
As long as we keep living actively for God, everything will work out eventually, if not the way we planned it to. We all just have to keep running the race.
Ya’ll are acting like these have to be amazing epic lyrics, or that Adam’s going through some sort of heartache/break… What if he just felt like writing something random… This is his blog, he’s perfectly entitled to do so if he wants… I write/say random stuff all the time, and no one tries to interpret what I’m trying to say. It’s all about one person that I’ll never forget, but he’s moved on to a huge city and left me in the dust of the tiny old towns of the South. Yep, I want to forget it all, but it is very very hard. Why is it so hard to get back to the old state of happiness when all you really have to do is say “sorry” or simply forget?

Well… I don’t wanna repeat what other peeps said, but these sound like epic lyrics! It was a short post… but I shall except it, mainly because I like the emotion shown.
If these are words of sadness, let me reassure you that things will happen and some may be good or bad. Like getting free ice cream for a whole day. But I wonder, is it the “love” that caused you to veer off your path, or the one you “loved” has left? Just know that life shares opportunities to be happy. Don’t let anything pull you down. If you do, you’re just going to feel miserable and, well, unhappy!
Just know you also have friends, friends of friends, and friends of friends of friends. I’m just wondering, did you understand that at all?? :P Anyway, you shall have a wonderful, happy day thrown upon you! You just don’t know when…. <3

That sounds like great lyrics. I can’t wait for the new album to come out. But if they aren’t lyrics, what’s the matter? It sounds like someone’s grabbed your interest and you don’t feel certain. If you have noticed someone, then if she doesn’t reciprocate she’s not worth it. You deserve to be loved by someone as amazing as you. Just know that you have a lot of people that care about you, although we may not know you personally. You are loved.
Whether these are lyrics or you’re going through something, I’m praying that God will lead you to peace and happiness. I’m not too good with words so that’s all I’ll venture out to say this evening.

I don’t really know if anyone else has posted this but it just seems like it means you’re tossing in bed, but if you turn you’re going to see your window, which at one point had “I love you” written on it (by hand, when it was foggy). It still fogs up, and you don’t want to see it.
Anyway, Jesus loves you, and his “I love you” never loses its meaning or anything. :D

People, are you mad?!! I mean, really. He wrote just a couple of words. We don`t know whom he talks about, we don`t know all the spectrum of his feelings (and we are not supposed to know it!!), but it is clear as day, that it comes from the heart, and that it hurts, and that it is difficult to overcome.
And all that bothers you: “Is that new lyrics?” or “Oh, I hope it gonna be a new song!”. Oh God!!!!!! IS IT ALL YOU ARE INTERESTED IN?? If you don`t have anything to say, just don`t write anything! The warm, interminable “pitter-patter” of the spurious rain wisps my intuition away to a comforting and tranquil happy place. Once I step out onto that small, fluffy carpet and glance at the misty mirror my solace shatters like dropped ice by the unrelenting persistence of that lipstick residue message smeared on the glass. I must have tried to clean it a thousand times. I didn’t smash the glass, I moved far away. Away from the mirror, the people who’s lives intersected with ours, the streets that we walked down…everything. Everything apart from my memories. Who knew the scent of warm vanilla sugar was so common? Lol, I guess sometimes we toss and then turn before the motion is even a supraliminal thought. Even though I don’t see it the majority of the time I drive, every once in awhile my window fogs up and the words reappear. Don’t know why I never have the courage to wipe it. A good memory I guess. I know EXACTLY how you feel. Or rather, I probably read my own situation into your words and it’s nothing at all what you had in mind when you wrote it. I suppose the more accurate thing to say is- your words describe EXACTLY how I’m feeling. I’m in a long distance relationship. To say long distance is difficult is a vast understatement; but God is in this, and knowing that makes it worth it. At night I “toss”, in good memories, and “try not to turn” my mind to things I shouldn’t be thinking in the first place, which can be rather difficult. “The I love you still fogs up” illustrates the distance between us, why things can’t be crystal clear, and I definitely want to smash that glass.
As long as we keep living actively for God, everything will work out eventually, if not the way we planned it to. We all just have to keep running the race.
Ya’ll are acting like these have to be amazing epic lyrics, or that Adam’s going through some sort of heartache/break… What if he just felt like writing something random… This is his blog, he’s perfectly entitled to do so if he wants… I write/say random stuff all the time, and no one tries to interpret what I’m trying to say. Leave him alone about it already.
