I was very blessed to be involved with two artists known as He Is We and their delicate new single entitled, “All About Us.” The song radiates a flavor of bliss I’ve never quite tasted before and it’s one of those tracks you keep playing over and over because you want more of whatever it is that connects the emotional dots. You play it once and it feels good, so you play it again, and before you realize it, your iTunes count is over thirty but you’re still going strong. The word endearing keeps popping into my head. One line predicts, “every heart in the room will melt…” and if my heart is any indication, there will indeed be a lot of melting going on.
The song is absolutely beautiful. It’s soothing and quiet, romantic and molasses-sweet, but brave and confident, even shy and vulnerable — all at the same time. It’s a flowery patchwork of ear candy and I’m humbled to have been asked to leave my fingerprint on it. Big hugs and many thanks to Rachel Taylor and Trevor Kelly. May God use the song to whatever capacity He wills.

Your harmony blends really well and I actually like that you sound different in the solo parts. “Lovers dance when they’re feeling in love”: now I know what you were thinking of when you tweeted that! “Every heart in the room will melt”, after 24 years of marriage, I like seeing young lovers and remembering what it was like for us when my husband and I were just starting out. I just watched the music video for “All About Us”. It is so hauntingly beautiful, and reminiscent of “A Walk to Remember,” which is one of my favorite movies. Sometimes I just type “Owl City” into the Itunes search bar, and I did it the same day “All About Us” was released onto Itunes! I listened to the segment on Itunes countless times, and loved the song! I purchased it the same day. :-) Now, I listen to it every day and it never gets old. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

I didn’t actually enter it into the contest because I wanted to do it out of pure, unadulterated fun, not competition. The most beautiful thing about this song is that you can just feel the love conveyed in it simply by listening to it. It’s not the love that most artists sing about, the erotic, passion filled lust that we’ve decided to call “love” but true, humble and self-sacrificing love, and that is quite beautiful.
Totally agree, this song is amazing!!! Actually this post is kinda creepy. I got the song, listened to it about 20 times and am still listening to it, then I read this entry and laughed out loud when I found that Adam described it perfectly, literally.
