I love all the koala pictures and the kangaroo ones, they’re my favorite animal the kangaroo. I bet Australia is a fantastic place to go, at least it looks like it and sounds like it (from my brother). But anyways I hope you’re having astounding amounts of fun!
You capture everything so succinctly and so well, with your own lovely flair. Thanks for the snapshot of the country I love so much! You put a smile on my face. :)
Adam,
This really has nothing to do with the post though it is fanastic and you are an extremely photographer…
Well, very early this morning I was awake and randomly thinking about your blog… I had an amazing thought; You are my brother in Christ!! I mean, how many girls can say that their favorite artist is also their brother?
Dear Adam,
I am wonderstruck. You always take most amazing pictures! I love all of them because each one has a unique its own little back story that you get to glimpse through the picture. The titles are all wonderful as well; I was cracking up at the emo title with the picture of that lonely and semi-depressed-looking creature. Thank you for sharing these with us, I’ve always wanted to go to Australia, and now I got to look at some awesome pictures of it and live vicariously through you for a bit. :) May you continue to have a great time and a wonderful tour, and may He continue to bless you!
Love,
Madeline
P.S. Did you happen to box that little plant eating marsupial (a.k.a. Mr. Roo) and own him like a boss? Or was that a different kangaroo?
Amazing pictures! Adam , Adam , Adam you continue to inspire and amaze me! If everyone had just a little bit of your creativity, the world would be a much more colorful place:) I hope you and Mr. Roo got along ok :D or did you “own that silly little plant-eating marsupial like a boss”? heehees, anyway :3 Have fun and enjoy Australia & New Zealand!
You have no idea how fuzzy it makes me feel inside to see you enjoying yourself in my country
you find beauty everywhere.
guess what? 6 1/2 hours to go!!!!!
Great photos! Must be pretty awesome to go to new places and see how different and wonderful they can be and usually are.
Those beach pictures remind me of where I lived in California: jeans, sand and sweat shirts. :p Have fun tha in Awtralya may’t!
Hehe ok so the pic with the guy who to me looks a lot like kris allen holding the koala is the cutest picture everrrr! also whats with the mustache??? I agree thou shalt shave thy face! the scruffles are ok but the mustache is a no no haha but you are yourself so i guess you can look however you want! :D i will still love you! <333333333333 also im glad you are having a wonderful time i wish i could travel the world with you! i have never even left my country but someday i will for sure maybe with you??? hehe that is a dream that i hope will come true but for now you are a blessing even without being a close friend of mine jesus looves you sooo much and i pray fro you every night i love you! <3 :]
I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go to Australia! That would be such an amazing opportunity. Love all the pictures, especially the cassowary saying “come at me bro” LOL. Hope you’re having a great time:)
Cool pictures! You look epic with a mustache. ;D
How come I’m an Aussie, but I’ve never held a koala before?
My aunt lives on Mt Tamborine. It’s so beautiful up there.
I wish I could get to see you at one of your concerts while you’re here, but I’ll have to wait for your next world tour. :)
*pushes through the crowd of screaming, infatuated fan girls*
The pictures are nice, but kids, they sure ain’t amazing. And if Mr. Young wants a mustache, leave him be! Do you really think he would shave it off because his fans told him to? Maybe he did it because he was sick of the attention from silly little girls!
And what’s all of this “I love you” business? Do you even know what love is? Come on children, let’s get real. Don’t give your heart away to some guy you’re never going to know personally, I’m sure he wouldn’t want that.
This made me laugh harder than anything during the past week! Also, raises travel fever in me – it will be only about a year since I get to travel to the land down under!
Hey Mr Adam, thanks for the concert last night! :)
It was just wow and wow and really wow, and you are really gracious plus your dance moves fully made me laugh (in a nice way).
Cool photos, Queensland beaches prove how good an artist God is. And I reckon your mo is great, way better than my brother’s. His is like a hairy caterpilla is trying to escape out of his lip.
I really hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Aussieland. :)
God bless
I believe the correct version is:
Kookaburra sits on electric wire, jumping up and down with his pants on fire. Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh, Kookaburra. Hot your pants must be.
hi Adam :) First i have to say that you are my favorite artist in the entire world! and if you followed me on twitter (KaiaIngelill) My life would be complete!
Nice pic’s by the way :)
Your photographs are simply beautiful. My goal is to be a wildlife photographer, so maybe one day, they’ll be as good as yours!! Keep up the fantastic work with EVERYTHING you do!!!<3
Look at that koala! cute fluffy face and cute bum !! Mmmmm I wanna pet her/him so damn much <3333 You're having a lot of fun,I see.Wish you all the best, dear, and when you're flying back through Asia blow me a kiss ! Will you <33 ?
As always, your post has brightened my day. As well as made me extremely jealous of you. I’ve wanted to see Australia for so long, and your wonderful photography is only making me long more and more for that beautiful land.
Have fun touring, bro! (And enjoy Australia for me too please.)
God bless,
- Joel
P.S. Your mustache makes you look totally ‘down under.’
Whoa, look at you with a mustache!!!!!!!! Fancy stuff! Fancy stuff!
You my friend are a very good photographer! I like the pictures a lot. Good job, and I can tell that you’re having fun :)
I love these pictures!!!! Seriously, they’re professional quality. You should take the pictures for album art yourself, who needs photoshop and hired people :P. I wanna give those koalas a hug. I wanna give you one, too, but koalas are fuzzy…kinda like your upper lip! The moustache makes me laugh. HahahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA abuse of the H and A keys.
I am now going to browse through your Hobby Photography entry and adamrandal.com while listening to An Airplane Carried Me to Bed. I downloaded it yesterday…and kind of fell in love. If you do read this, I have a suggestion. I really liked your style when you were Sky Sailing (pun intended), more so than Owl City’s techno genre. Perhaps if you were to try to write one or two of your next songs to sound more like Sky Sailing? Or write more under that name? I would really love that, and I’m pretty sure some other fans would, too…
I love the picture!! Thank you for showing us what a good time you had down under! Lol, you look so different with a mustache! As long as you never grow out a full beard I’m fine with whatever you want! The best where of you (of course!) and the one’s titled “COME AT ME BRO” and “emo” those where so funny!! please continue to share the beautiful places that you go!
PS. I got the song Shy Violet, it’s such a beautiful song!
I love your landscapes! I especially love the rich colors in the water in “Whirligig.” If you had a Flickr account (or if you already have one and I knew about it), I’d stalk your photostream regularly.
As for “An Oddity,” I agree with you on the fact that it’s not very wise for someone to get a crush on a guy that they’ll probably never spend 10 minutes with on an one-on-one level. I kind of feel sorry for poor ol’ Adam Young. He is responsible for breaking hundreds of hearts by the minute without even trying! :) But . . . *to be said in a haughty voice* I don’t really appreciate being automatically labeled as a “screaming, infatuated fan girl”. And I most certainly do not like being called a “silly little girl!” – ’cause I’m not! :D *haughty voice off*
I think that it would be wonderful to spend a day with Adam Young, but that doesn’t mean that I would (or have) give/given my heart to him on the spot. I think of him more as a brother. A really cool brother.
You’re great, Adam! I like your music a lot, and am saving up to buy your latest album (to be the first I’ll own). And, despite the many protests against your moustache, I think it looks rather nice on you! :) I really enjoyed the pictures, as well. Hope you’re having a great time!
-Your Sister in Christ, Becca
Australia is an awesome place, you’ll love it here. Most of the time it’s warm but we tend to be having a winter downfall so it’s kind of cold. Can’t wait to see you Tommorrow in Melbourne warm regards from Australia. XOXO =D
(P.S. it is safe to run around the bush in certain spots)
Now I will never be able to see a cassowary again without thinking, “COME AT ME BRO.” And that is a very fine mo’ you’ve got going there. And, of course, SOON, which seems to come up every few blog entries.
Spectacular concert last night, I’m surprised I didn’t lose my voice. Loved the live versions of Cave In, On The Wing, and If My Heart Was a House, all favourites of mine which I wasn’t expecting. And Swimming in Miami was another pleasant surprise. You should really release a live album; your live tracks are different enough to the recordings to make it worthwhile.
I just got back from my trip to the Bahamas. Loved it. Sadly, there were no cuddly koalas. But it was still TOTALLY WICKED! ^_^ Love all these pictures. Especially the mustache ;)
did you know that 17th august it our independence day?.. thank you for taking the picture 1 day before … seeing the flag on your picture makes me love my country soooooooo much.. :D
The snail one’s even funnier. Hopefully you haven’t seen these already, but if so…where’s the harm in going for another round of hahas? Absolutely none. So, one again, enjoy!
Mmmm, on second thought, not sure the ‘stache is gonna work. I know it must be a pain to shave every 5 seconds to keep yourself baby smooth, but the shape of that mustache, according to my daughter, and I tend to agree with her, is kind of…how do I say this…1970′s star of a certain type of adult movie?
If you really want a mustache, go to a good, high-end barber who could help you shape that unruly caterpillar into something more flattering to your face.
You must hate shaving and I know that’s why you go all Mountain Man when you are at home. You look good with that stubbly face, too. I’m not against facial hair; my husband has a mustache and a Vandyke. As a matter of fact, I hate those publicity shots of you that look like they’ve airbrushed you back to pre-puberty. You are a man! Just have to find the happy medium.
Alas…I am late. Three. Days. Late. BUT despite the fact, I throuroghly enjoyed the entry(as always).
You’re a WONDERFUL photographer, Adam. You`re such an inspiration. These photos are brilliant-as always. I`d love for you to know you really inspire me in my photos, and my writing! Just so ya know.
Unfortunately I lost my only camera this week…and my phone. My autistic brother, naive as he is, pushed my three year old sister into a swimming pool! I jumped in after her and seeming as I had my purse on me…you know the rest. As long as Melody is OK!!!
Still, the week is feeling a bit rotton. With family troubles, and lots of stress to go around, I think I might need a good long nap. This entry was however, a quite nice contribution to my day. Thanks again Adam. Stay ninja! And beware the OCTOPI.
BTW-I sort of kind of wrote you on a letter, which my friend posted on her epic blog. Here`s the link-
never fall in love with a mucisian before, BUt i’m totally in love with Owl City and sky sailing
how can i send you a letter ?
could u give me your post code
and please follow back me on tweeter
Adam your photos are stunning. I took a photography class this past year and really enjoyed it. It is such a relaxing hobby I think.
I hope someday I can meet you and tell you how God has worked through you to impact my life and the ones of my friends. You truly are a man of God and everyone is blessed to be able to witness what God is doing through you and in you so publicly.
Adam, your moustache looks lovely, very outdoorsy-y-y. At any rate, those are amazing photographs, and I do hope you continue posting them! You are about my biggest role model. Especially your Christian posts.
I’m still wondering how you managed to get so close to a cassowary without getting your eyes scratched out!
All these photos capture Australia Perfectly. I love how you managed to achieve the perfect golden third effect in “Gandalf” and “Sky City”, but the photo I love the most is “Tambourine Mountain”. I’ve stayed in the area and gone to the top of the Mt Tambourine several times and it never fails to amaze me.
KEEP TAKING AWESOME PHOTOS!!! (and keep coming to Australia)
i hope you have had a great time in Austrailia and New Zealand! You have taken some breath taking landscapes there Adam, They are beautiful, my personal favorite picture is the COME AT ME BRO! i love the colours and textures in each photograph aw well as i like the names for each one! X
Holy banana cakes! Mr Young! Mr Young! You did it! YOU GREW A MOUSTACHE LIKE I ASKED! Now please shave it off … it scares me. Actually, the more I look at it, the cooler it gets. And you don’t look like mario…unless I tilt my head a bit that way-then you kind of…no, no you don’t.
Looks like you like Aussie. My favourite photo would be the last one. Now I shall go and ask other people to grow moustaches!
Dearest Adam.
I’m so glad that you are having an epicawesometime in Australia. I’m not gonna lie, it’s pretty rad here.
I was sososososooo excited and overly happy when I found previews of the tracks of ATBAB, and around March/May, you announced that you were touring Australia. and I was bouncing off the walls. Because last year I really wanted to go to your concert, however you didn’t come to Adelaide. So the whole 2011 Owl City Australia Tour was a massive deal for me, and I was extremely disappointed when I found out you and your live band weren’t going to play in Adelaide, my hometown.
I hear you like small towns, however ours is very busy and citylike. It
is small though.
I’m forever on YouTube, just looking at all the different footages from your shows, and it’s like one massive dance party.
I’ve never been to a concert before, and I refuse unless it’s an Owl City or Sky Sailing one. or a general Adam Young – is-very-epic! tour.
Just saying, I’d give the world to see your beautiful little face and voice sing your heart out live.
South Australia sucks my left bumcheek
*South Australia sucks my left bumcheek,
however I love you and you’re probably the closest person to my heart that I haven’t ever spoken to, but you communicate and speak to me with your music.
Hope you get the chance to read this?
-Brittany the koala bear.
I must say that you are totally amazing! Not just at music becouse you’re a great photographer too! ^^ And I must say that you looks a bit funny in mustache ^^. And it’s true if I say that I always listen to your music ( I tried to listen to a another artist… I only listened two songs before it was boring ^^ ) I have listen to your music the whole summer ( I can’t understand why I didn’t start before?) So even my mum say that I must put down my phone ^^ But I will not ^^ I hope you read this and maybe check your fan mail? ^^ I jad sent you a very important mail about your consert in Sweden and would cry of happyness if you answered it ^^
Sorry for the bad English but It’s rather hard to write on a mobilephone when you come from Sweden…
I like the emo and unimpressed pictures the best. What can I say, I love koalas. They’re the only things I can stand to hug. Maybe. If they don’t bite. Do they bite? I hope not.
Koalas and kangaroos = amazing. :D You’re pretty talented with photography. I’ve never been to Australia, but it looks like a fun place! Hope you’re enjoying yourself.
oh hi! WOW your pictures are amazingly beautiful!! a very talented guy :) I must say, You looked good with mustache. haha super cute.
Btw the flag on picture named Gold Coast Swimmers looks like Indonesian Flag, doesn’t it? if it does, omgsh thanks thanks thanks <3
Indonesian loves you, Adam :D See you soon!
Any one can simply snap a picture but few people can make it truly beautiful. Great work! I though you used to have a photography website where people could see your work but I cant seem to find it now. If you don’t have it anymore you should really think about making a new one to show off your photography. =]
TALKING MARSHMALLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!! (This is what I yell when I’m trying to get someone’s attention!!!!!XD)
Adam, I believe there is a furry friend of yours on your upper lip that I think needs to go. :) Yea, I don’t think I’m really lovin the mustache on you hun. But the scruffles are OK with me I guess. Just PLEASE shave the mustache!!!!! You don’t look like you with the mustache!!!! Anyways, I still love you anyway Adam!!!! I even claim to my friends at school I’m married to you!!! XD Love you so much Adam!!!
P.S. The other day I listened to Lonely Lullaby on Youtube, and almost cried. It’s such a beautiful song Adam!!!

That awkward moment when I’m wondering what camera and which editing program you used to capture and enhance these wondrous photographs…
Amazing pictures! Adam , Adam , Adam you continue to inspire and amaze me! What!?
You’re in my city! At my beaches and I didnt even know!
Dang it!
Just beautiful!
This made me laugh harder than anything during the past week! Also, raises travel fever in me – it will be only about a year since I get to travel to the land down under!
Strangely enough, I’ve never had the urge to travel; I’ve always been happy with the sights to see here in Vancouver.
But these photos make me want to go there for myself and hug a koala. They’re absolutely amazing.
Hope you’re having fun!
Nice ‘stache. You take such great pictures. You have an artist’s eye as well as ear’s. I wanna Koala! They are so cute.
Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, eating all the gum drops he can see, laugh Kookaburra, laugh Kookaburra, gay your life must be.

definetly cute. but please, to go against the crowd…lose the mustache. Please.
MUSTACHE!!!! XD
I love your mustache. It’s definitely a fashion icon. It makes me smile.(:
As always, your post has brightened my day. As well as made me extremely jealous of you. I’ve wanted to see Australia for so long, and your wonderful photography is only making me long more and more for that beautiful land.
Have fun touring, bro! (And enjoy Australia for me too please.)
God bless,
- Joel
P.S. Your mustache makes you look totally ‘down under.’
mustache…….i NORMALLY am not a fan..but i think you can pull it off. <3
a mustache??? whats that doing on his face!? i love you, hun but you should shave it off it doesnt work for you hun
“an oddity”, you can’t stop us! :) agree with Audrey.
woah sweet pics!! :D Those koalas are beast!! x] Have lots of fun at good ol’ Aussie for me!! <3 the mustache btw.
You are a freaking amazing photographer, Adam. But, honestly, though you always look adorable, the mustache isnt working. Love you to death!!!!! -Jem
YOU HAVE A MUSTACHE?? WTF??
It looks awesome anyways.
Since when do you have a mustache??
Looks good, but still!…you have a mustache! This is a look I am not acquainted with =J
haha nice mustache :) You take really good pictures!!!! They’re beautiful. Please respond to my email!!!!!
Whoa, look at you with a mustache!!!!!!!! Fancy stuff! Fancy stuff!
You my friend are a very good photographer! I like the pictures a lot. Good job, and I can tell that you’re having fun :)
~laurianna

love ya!
mochi
OH!
and up ship! thats one of your port blue songs:)
love Gold Coast Swimmers because in the picture there is Indonesian flag
Needs more Auckland :D
Thanks for coming. We had such a blast.
Tom Selleck! I was trying to remember last night who Adam’s moustache reminded me of.
The last two are my favourites. (: But they’re all stunning. Australia is beautiful.
P.S. I’m pro-’stache.
I love you Adam. These are so amazing! My old camera shorted out, or I’d be attempting awesomeness.. -.-
What am I suppose to say to this?
I love all of these (: You’re so lucky to be in Australia, where my favorite animal, the platypus lives!
Get rid of the moustache D: Nice photos though. Ugh. Moustache. Just. SHAVE!
Dear Mr. Young,
Your photos are, as usual, of a high and interesting standard. I didn’t know you had a beard/moustache. Looks fetchin’.
Life down under looks laid-back and beautiful. I hope everything is okay and there’s no kidney stones in sight.
Can’t wait to see you in September.
Tom
Australia is a lovely place, and i live there! x See you in Melbourne Adam Young.
Love all the pictures, especially the awesome beach ones. Looks like you all are having a great trip!
Dear Adam,
I hope you read this…
I love these pictures!!!!
I would really love that, and I’m pretty sure some other fans would, too…
Well, good luck abroad.
Dreaming,
Jess
AUSTRALIA! That’s cool, Adam!
I MUSTACHE YOU A QUESTION!! XDDD No seriously what’s with that thing? You look like my dad :/
Haha, love the Port Blue reference in the “Up Ship” photo.
Hey Madeline, thanks for bringing up that thought. We really are the sisters of a famous music artist! Isn’t that so neat? ;)
You should really release a live album; your live tracks are different enough to the recordings to make it worthwhile.
hey. is that Indonesia’s flag??
nice pictures…love koala… ^.^
Can I just say I love your stache. :) And I’m not someone who likes facial hair, but you pull it off. :)
I just got back from my trip to the Bahamas. Loved it. Sadly, there were no cuddly koalas. But it was still TOTALLY WICKED! ^_^ Love all these pictures. Especially the mustache ;)
The emo koala needs a hug.
“Tradition” looks like some famous explorer… Hmmmmmmmmm…
indonesian flag? woahhhhhh
did you know that 17th august it our independence day?.. thank you for taking the picture 1 day before … seeing the flag on your picture makes me love my country soooooooo much.. :D

Enjoy, Adam!
Your distant friend,
Melissa
The snail one’s even funnier. Hopefully you haven’t seen these already, but if so…where’s the harm in going for another round of hahas? Absolutely none. So, one again, enjoy!

Gandalf the Koala- Wonderful wizard of OZ :)
thanks for coming, sorry I couldn’t see you
Mount Tambourine is awesome, but it isn’t famous for tambourines.
:P
Indonesian Flag in “Goldcoast Swimmers” :D
COME AT ME BRO
Hilarious.
(You were always my favorite photographer I know and love…)
LUV YA ADAM!!!!
(P.S: Gandalf. Wow man, really? XD)
Beautiful pictures! :D
Keep up the good work!
Jesus loves you <3
So do I <3
nice shots..I wish I had a camera like one of you..hehe..
I swear….this blog is the only thing that gets me up in the morning ;)
Yesterday, I saw Fiver.
@Martha I totally agree
Here`s the link-
http://www.orangeintheovercast.blogspot.com
Hope you find it! I will send it in the mail anyway…
“Gold Coast Swimmers”, is that Indonesian flag? Red and white

i wish, i could go to indonesia and see u permorm there but im in china :(
will you come to china?
Adam your photos are stunning. I took a photography class this past year and really enjoyed it. It is such a relaxing hobby I think.
I hope someday I can meet you and tell you how God has worked through you to impact my life and the ones of my friends. You truly are a man of God and everyone is blessed to be able to witness what God is doing through you and in you so publicly.
Keep following God’s plan for your life
Awesome pictures, Adam! Thanks for posting them! :D I take it you are enjoying Australia.
Keep being awesome,
Julie :)
Adam, your moustache looks lovely, very outdoorsy-y-y. At any rate, those are amazing photographs, and I do hope you continue posting them! You are about my biggest role model. Especially your Christian posts.
A loving sister in Christ,
Marizona
I’m still wondering how you managed to get so close to a cassowary without getting your eyes scratched out!
All these photos capture Australia Perfectly. I love how you managed to achieve the perfect golden third effect in “Gandalf” and “Sky City”, but the photo I love the most is “Tambourine Mountain”. I’ve stayed in the area and gone to the top of the Mt Tambourine several times and it never fails to amaze me.
KEEP TAKING AWESOME PHOTOS!!! (and keep coming to Australia)
Michael
Keep clicking, my fellow abstract photographer!
Dear Adam:
The “Tradition“ one attracts me most, coz your voice reminds me of the ocean all the time. Btw when will you come to China?
Release a new blog entry soon. I’m in need of some inspiration.
i hope you have had a great time in Austrailia and New Zealand!
~ That_Person_Over_There (that you don’t know)
Dearest Adam.
LOVE YOU
Tove
You gots a mustache!!!!!! EPICAL MUSTACHE ADAM!!!!!!!!!
I like the emo and unimpressed pictures the best. What can I say, I love koalas. They’re the only things I can stand to hug. Maybe. If they don’t bite. Do they bite? I hope not.
Hope you’re having a GREAT time! :)
Koalas and kangaroos = amazing. :D You’re pretty talented with photography. I’ve never been to Australia, but it looks like a fun place! Hope you’re enjoying yourself.
